Knowing your weakness'

I have learned that when it comes to working out, I am a person who needs a gym.   I need the gym because I do not head out the door and run 3-5 miles a day... gone are those days!  Maybe someday further down the road, but right now, nope it's just not gonna happen.

Now I am also a cheap or frugal person for the most part. So when In-shape had this whole $19 gym membership for the new place only.... we jumped on it!   Now I will say this, it may not have a pool, but as Micah may remember... pools are for people who are not me!  So no big loss here.

I am excited to get back on track, because even though my eating habits are changed, it is not enough for me, they have changed in that I eat healthier and that I am not gaining weight... but I am not losing much to speak of either, just enough to make those 10's nearly fit so off my behind and off to the gym.

Progress is awesome

Well since I was eliminated I hadn't had a gym membership (until a few days ago that is).... but I maintained 90% of my new eating habits.  Generally I was feeling like I was gaining weight, but wasn't quite sure because I was afraid of the scale.  

Today when out shopping, I found a huge clearance on jeans  $5 each.  So I tried some on, Well my 12's are loose so I grabbed a 10.  My heart was beating hard, the hope I was feeling was exhilarating... how fantabulous would that be if  they really did fit.

They were tight... really tight... but buttonable!  Not something I would wear outside that dressing room unless it was 1982 and I was trolling for some free beer!  But in my world this counts as progress.  Now for the sake of my poor old body I did not by these, you see from the beginning of this process I decided I would not by the next sized down in clothes till they fit me right and comfortable.  

So I put them back and smiled on my way out the door,   this is the first time I was ever happy about not fitting into pants!

yeah! go me!

Back in the saddle again!

Our local In-shape is opening an "express" gym by Winco.  So they had a $19 per month special.  For now we can go to all their gyms, but after express is built we will only be able to go there.  But really I am not a swimmer, and the child care is always filled with really little kids so my daughter will only stand for that for so long.  

So every morning I will be back on track and heading for more weight loss.  I know this time next year I will have met my goals and then re-evaluate whether I want to sign up for more.    My hubby has signed up too, so for as long as we can stand it we will go together.  

I am ready and looking forward to going back... I missed it!
